wired: art2wear
2023
collaborative AR experience for NCSU’s student fashion show, Art2Wear, utilizing a student’s fashion line. Created in After Effects, Unreal, and Blender.
Prototyping
The student provided her sketches and initial outfits for me to 3d model. Most of the final wearables are different due to time constraints and last minute changes on both parties, as both she and I were working simultaneously on our deliverables for this art show. She was heavily inspired by futurism for her fashion line. Her portfolio can be found here
3D modeling explorations
animation process
My initial idea involved utilizing a widescreen frame of looping animations to simulate a futuristic diagnostics screen, showing “vitals” and related content. The models would be instructed to walk in front of the screen and pose in front.

Final screens
We pivoted to vertical screens due to equipment issues, but the final product was a success. Most of the work involved post production editing to combine the Unreal and Blender file videos into a single edited video.
